Windows continues to push new boundaries in enabling Deeply Personalized Experiences so users can interact with devices in more natural ways and express themselves further through the power of new technologies in areas like Big Data, Cloud Services, Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.


The User Experiences team within the Windows organization is building the Core Platform and Tools that will democratize these Deeply Personalized Experiences on every Windows Device. We are staffing up multiple engineering teams to develop the core platform and tools. If you are a rock star engineer who wants to work on new tech in areas like Cloud Services, Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision to build game changing Experiences on innovative devices, we want to talk to you! The skills we are looking for

• BS/MS in CS, Mathematics, Statistics or related engineering field

+

• 1+ year(s) of experience developing in C++, Java, C# or other relevant programming languages

+

*1 year of Industry experience is required.  Current students and recent graduates (less than 12 mo.) are not eligible.


+

Preferred Skills:

• Interest in delivering high quality, large scale services in storage, search, data or related areas.
• Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and adopt solution from within the company or from the Open Source community.
• Experience with deploying, running and maintaining large scale services.
• Proven problem solving & debugging skills.
• Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms.

Selected candidates will be sent an invitation to take an online technical assessment. Your recruiter will prep you on what you can expect on the screen and since it is completed online you can take it whenever is most convenient to you.


Scheduling

Assuming all goes well with the technical screen, we then will get you setup with our event scheduler to arrange the logistics for attending the event. If you need to travel to the event, then you’ll work directly with a scheduler to select an itinerary that works best for you. We cover the cost to travel and attend the event day.

Prior to your interviews, your recruiter will contact you to help you prepare for the event interviews and answer any last minute questions you may have.


the interview day

Event day is a rotation of interviews with the engineering team. The process is fast paced, challenging and fun. Plan on spending half your day with us. You will get to meet members of our Recruiting and Engineering Teams.

We make FAST hiring decisions. You can expect to hear our final decision from your recruiter within 1-2 business days after the event interviews.

world's largest gathering of women technologists. It is produced

by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership

with ACM.  GHC 17 will be Oct. 4-6 in Orlando, FL.
